Great banjo at a phenomenal price

After unboxing the banjo, we found exactly what others did with the neck. VERY DRY. We oiled it and let it sit. As it sat and quickly soaked up the oil, one of the strings popped. I can only assume it got too hot on the delivery truck and when it started to relax, everything started to move. We oiled it 4 more times, waiting 10 min for the oil to fully absorb and changed out the strings to DiAdarrio lights. The sound is incredible. The banjo was still relaxing and required a lot of tuning. Nonetheless I'm super happy with this banjo and would buy again.
