So far very happy
1 of 1 found this helpful I replaced a DE filter with this sand filter. NEVER buy a DE filter, they are a major PITA with very high maintenance. I was very nervous as the prior filter was 2" throughout, this is 1.5" plumbing. It actually seems to somehow flow better than the 2" filter it replaced.
Hurricane Irma filled my pool with debris, this filter has done an excellent job of cleaning up my pool! It flows VERY well and cleans well also. Backflushing is a breeze, very, very glad to have made the change. Good filter, very happy so far, only been a week but it's working well.
OH, I also like the fact that if your pool is trashed, as mine was, you can bypass the filter directly to the waste discharge so you can vacuum the pool and send the debris directly to the discharge pipe and not thru the filter.
