For 08-13 Highlander Aluminum Roof Rack Cross Bar Side Luggage Rail Carrier
    May 21, 2018
    2008 Highlander Base Sport
I will start off by saying, they look great once installed. They are brand new and fit perfect. Now installing them is a whole different story. The other reviews are correct, you have to make the holes bigger to fit the screews. The allen key that comes with it is almost useless. I had to use plyers. Forget about the instructions. The pictures are too dark to make out what to do. Watch the video. You have to take off your existing end caps to get these rails to "slide" on to your existing tracks. The end caps are not easy to get off without breaking so br careful. There are 2 little plastic tabs under the end caps that break really easy when you apply presser to pop them off. Look up that video and see. Once you get them on, get that rubber mallet ready cause you're wacking away to run the up the tracks. I used a piece of wood against the rail and a hammer so I wouldn't damage them. I took off my front caps to get the front rail on and the rear for the back rail. Makes no sense taking one end off just to wack your way from one end of the truck to the other. At no point am I blaming the seller for this. This is just what I went through installing these. This might be the case for all of these types of rails. If it wasn't because those end caps break so easily, the install would have been flawless. The seller provided a quality product at a great price.
