wonderful lens
I bought it just since I thought it would be good compact lens with high performance to use mainly on Canon DSLR. Well, I underestimated it. It appears so good for me, that I'm thinking now to sell whole set of of fix focal lenses which is covered by this lens. Too bad it doesn't fit my Canon full frame body, but on Canon crop body it works just excellent ! almost none CA, sharp wide open on almost all focal settings. Very good, nice picture with excellent colors (taking into account this is a zoom lens)... I didn't try so far it's brothers - Vario-Sonnar 28-85 and Vario-Sonnar 35-70/3.4, but actually I don't know what else can be desired from lens with this focal length range... Oh, if it would go wider than 28mm than it would be a dream lens. Highly recommended lens especially for those who have no too much $$$ to buy L class Canon optics, but want to have same class of image quality.
