20A MPPT Auto Work Solar Panel Charge Controller Battery Regulator LCD Display
    Aug 19, 2016
Sturdy, compact 'plug and play' simplicity
Out of the box impression was good. Good aluminium shell, easy to locate terminals and a clear display. I wired it into the battery bank first to look at the settings. Adjusted for 12v Then hooked up the panels also wired for 12v. Everything straightforward. The display shows the all important amps in along with voltage with an indication of whether it's in MPPT charge mode or PWM mode (auto depending on battery state and panel output). Also it shows watts collected at the moment and a total. Backlit screen is clear and bright. Mine is on a narrow boat and is giving me a clear gain in the mornings. Low light giving the panels 17 - 20v output means the MPPT circuit is converting to amps. I'm getting 1.6amps early where my other PWM chargers were on 0.33 - 1 amp. My next move is to wire the panels in series to give me 24v (nearer 40v the way panels output). I'm sticking with this charge controller. There may well be better out there, but I've had a few from very cheap to moderate price all PWM. They all work. It's just about getting the most from the light I've not hooked up 240v since getting this. I like it. It would benefit from an option to set the main display screen, it cycles through two settings screens, good info, but I'd like to see what I want as a permanent screen option. The thin screen on the display could be improved. Overall, solid, compact and easy to configure. Regards, Andy

Shimano Sienna 2500 FE Fishing Reel - SN2500FE

Shimano Sienna 2500 FE - Great reel
Small reel and a quality feel. Aluminium spool, not composite. Smooth with a nice soft bale arm kick when you wind in after casting. Spool size is good for spinning or float fishing. Mine is set up on a 7ft telescopic spinning rod with 8lb line. Really compact set up. I'm fishing for Perch, small Pike and Zander using spinners and spoons. I'd recommend this reel on looks, quality and capability. Ideal for canals, small lakes and rivers. It's my go to on my short rod combo.
