Unexpected pleasures from a neglected master

Really surprised by how interesting these songs are. The influence of Richard Strauss is clear at times, mixed with a more parlour-song mode, but there always seems to me a critical distance from both which leads to the unexpected. The songs can also be a lot of fun!
