Putting the Ipad to SHAME
1 of 1 found this helpful This product was an easy choice when it came between purchasing it, or purchasing the Ipad.
When you're on a budget like me, you need to bargain hunt. Ipad is new and state of the art, but the problem is, it does not introduce very many NEW concepts. Touch screen has been around since the dawn of the 21st century, although the TC1100 is ten years old, it still outmatches the Ipad in performance, adaptability, user interface, and the ever reliable Windows XP Operating system. I've read up on some Ipad reviews and even had the pleasure of messing with one for about 10-15 minutes. The screen is responsive to touch of hand rather than stylus. It's thin, sleek, and can surf the web pretty fast. Problems came when I tried to access ANY website that had apps that were Flash based, or any website with flash objects built in. The Ipad is completely incapable of loading these interactive objects. Facebook is a great example, tons of games, the Ipad is incapable of loading ANY of them because most if not ALL of them are Flash based. The TC1100 on the other hand, load windows XP tablet edition, and you are fully capable of doing anything and everything that regular desktop winXP is capable of. Including flash. The TC1100 outmatches the Ipad in "Hard drive" abilities, by this I mean that it can have anywhere from 2 - 4 times the hard drive space, and from what I could tell, the Ipad is MAJORLY internet based, which means you cannot load your favorite songs onto the Ipad like you would a normal computer. You CAN load songs onto a TC1100.
The TC1100 can be upgraded to 2GB of RAM, and 160GB HardDrive space. Whereas the Average Ipad has 1GB of RAM and between 20 and 60 GB of hard drive space.

Shiny, classy, and traditional
Works great, no complaints, I always prefer stock basics over tacky skulls and cross bones
