TOSHIBA E800 WIFI
2 of 2 found this helpful Large screen, nice look. The CPU is at 400mHz, which is a minimum for a decent divx to be played with a pda. Xscalar can be used to pop up the CPU to 530mHz. With RATOC drivers and the presentation pack, you can use this pda with usb keyboard, mouse and even usb drives. I even used a usb hub for that purpose, do use powered hub! The wifi application preinstalled by Toshiba are working great. I did appreciate the wifi detector too. The only thing I found not THAT good is the vga capability. Only few applications can be runned. All in all, this is quite a good machine to have.

Best flashlight for EDC
Compact yet it is a very powerful flashlight. I love the contrast withe the blue anodized ring. Versatile, it have 4 modes of illumination, from the moonlight to the extreme 550 lumens. It offers also a strobe mode. It can be set to high mode or the strobe mode with a double or a triple clic. It can be set to shut itself off after 3 or 9 minutes. Can be set in locked mode to prevent it to be open by accident. The flashlight do memorize the last used mode. I like the weight that suggest quality. It can be used with a RCR123 rechargeable battery. Olight offers also a magnetic cable to charge these batteries from an usb port of your computer. It can run for 30 days on the first setting, 64 hours on the second, 8.5 hours on the third setting. The fourth setting gives near two hours of light. It can runs at 550 lumens only for a minute and an half and then it lower itself to 300 lumens to prevent overheating. It can be clipped to a baseball cap and this will be the only flashlight I will need or use on everyday basis. I believe it would be a perfect item to use for camping, backpaking. Since it have an IPX8 rating against water and dirt, it can be used even on heavy rain. It does not have a zoom capability but with the lens, the beam is large but very well diffused to give an effective illumination. It is scratch resistant and is stainless steel made with a flat grey finish. Basically, I'm in love with it.

A small computer, at the very least
I had countless pda. This one have a better than average display. The cpu is powerful enough to play divx movies with it straight from the big computer. It seems that those machine have a problem with the CF card and the wifi. I always have the unrecognized card and a box asking me to write the name of the driver. I found a good deal of people on the net with the very same problem. It seems that HP is aware of that issue. So far, no real solution was proposed. There is a probability that the problem is in the hardware. Don't take for granted the wifi capâbility of the device. In spite of this, I like that machine.
