Not for the faint of heart/inexperienced
The only problem was that some of the traces had already been cut; some of these were “live” on my original remote, which means I had to attempt to restore them. While my attempts were successful, it was touch and go for a while. I’ve been working with electronics for about 45-50 years, and this was NOT a project for the inexperienced (to be fair, the seller does warn about that). This is the only thing that is preventing me from ordering another as a spare—what if I CAN’T restore the traces in the next one?
It’s a good value *if you have no other real options*, as I did not.

The only REAL option for the Apple IIc
I thought long and hard before I bought this monitor. I have many vintage Apple products, did I really need another monitor to take up space?
I had been looking at a special adapter as an option, which would allow me to connect the Apple IIc to a standard TV set. There were different hardware options--kind of like switches--that provided various display outputs, like high-resolution color and very sharp monochrome green text. (The IIc is unique among Apple's early computers in that it doesn't natively support a connection to a VGA-type monitor or TV.)
The problem with this option was the cost--at $90, it seemed kind of steep for the convenience.
Ultimately I decided that the color option for the IIc was less important to me, and I chose this monitor. I have not looked back. It offers a very crisp 40-column display; but the real selling point is the ultra-sharp 80-column mode. Almost everything you'll do--the software you'll run--on the IIc requires 80 columns. Word processing in particular demands the higher resolution.
Ultimately, YMMV (your mileage may vary). Perhaps you'll be wanting a color display for games, etc. I might someday also choose that route. But for my needs right now, this monitor suits me perfectly.

Hard to find parts
These kits used to be readily available at most parts stores...now, only the O-rings are available. I jumped on these for that reason—it is the complete kit—O-rings, pintle (plastic “hat”) and plastic washers. All are required for proper replacement on the fuel injectors. (There is an additional part no required on 1987-88 models.)
Speaking of that—this kit fits not only the 1983-85 models but also 1986-88.
