Wonderful series for the young at heart. Lots of humor, action, horror, soap opera, and very nicely performed and produced.
2 of 2 found this helpful This is such a wonderfully rich fantasy series. this particular set was a good buy, cleverly packaged in the form of an old book, with lots of illustrations from the shows, like in the Grimm books. It was a little less than others complete Grimm series on Amazon and is in perfect condition. But the trade-off is that it has several features that are just plain annoying.
You can access the subtitles, but it is by default designed to "Play All" of the episodes on any particular disc. You can access individual episodes, but they are not labeled...only indicated by pictures. The Play All feature will allow you to pause, but not for long, and it will start up again and run to the end if you don't back up. Then about 50/50 if you are able to run it back to where you left off. You will have better luck reloading the disc. Ditto for the individual episodes. Sometimes you can run it back, sometimes you can't without trouble. Of course, I'm playing these on a laptop, and that may be the problem. The Deleted Scenes are available, but unlike some other packaging, they are only at the end of the disc, for all the episodes on that disc, not like other packagings where you can access them at the end of an episode as well as at the end of a disc.
This is such a fun series for me, that I am considering ordering a different packaging like that found in libraries. The difference is about $20, but I think it is worth it. Others might not be so particular.

Great value, great text.
Great book in the British tradition of language learning, which I think is a bit better than a lot of American texts. It is old, but that is all the better!

1 of 1 found this helpful This turned out to be better than advertised. The notice said there were no subtitles, as I recall, but these are all subtitled in English, and since I wanted them primarily to practice Spanish that makes them even more useful. Thanks.
