Flush fitting. Does exactly what was needed.
Needed a FLUSH fitting adaptor. These are perfect. I have fittes on 'permanetly (using a dab of Loctite) into a 3/8 female bushed gimbal. As both my tripods and monopod have 1/4 male suds. Excellent solution.

Anderson PowerPoles
These low voltage DC connectors are THE ultimate answer for connecting DC 6/12/24v equipment to power sources whether battery or mains power supplies.
Each connector comes in two parts - the barrel and the insulating plastic shield or cover. The shields come in a variety of colours and the barrels in different sizes to suit your planned current passing needs (cable diameters). The ones I tend to standardise on are the 30 Amp barrels with black and red covers.
The clever part with Powerpoles is that they are "hermaphrodites" - they don't have a gender and any end can be plugged into any other end, so extension cables are a doddle !
To ensure you don't plug a positive terminal into a negative terminal (=fizz.# pop~@ bang ...magic smoke !) the two (eg red and black) shells slide 'permanently' against each other to make a pair. Once this pair is made, you cannot accidentally reverse the connections!
You make the connections up either using a bespoke crimp tool (expensive) or you solder the wire to the barrel before pushing the barrel into the cover (my preference).
They are much advertised for use with golf carts, disabled scooters etc. i use them with amateur radio equipment and like many colleagues have now standardised ALL my DC power leads to powerpoles (with some short adaptor leads from Powerpoles to other systems. these are deployed if I need to link to someone's non-Powerpole system) Powerpoles really do make connecting soooo easy.
Is there a 'negative' comment? Well, scratching the bottom of the barrel to find one, I would say that if you look at the materials cost of a Powerpole and its shield, they do come across as a tad expensive. But... (a) they have made connections soooo easy and (b) you get what you pay for!
Highly recommended!

Miss ADVERTISED ... it is NOT AC/DC !
** MIS-ADVERTISED **
Although a good quality build, this LED H4 12v motorcycle headlamp bulb DOES NOT work on AC motorcycle systems despite being advertised as "AC/DC".
It works ONLY if you have DC available to your headlamp !!!!!
