Excellent flagpole and flags
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought thhis flagpole to celebrate St. Georges day and to fly the Union Flag on referendum day when I vote leave. The weather on St. Georges day was gale force winds and snow showers and it stood up to the elements very well. It was easy to erect, a bag of postcrete and a spirit level and a spade was all that was needed, if you have a narrow post spade it helps to keep the hole as narrow as possible. Dig a hole about 2/3 the lenght of the sleeve. I put the plastic sleeve in first, pushing it into the soil to seal the bottom to stop the cement getting in, leveled it in the vertical, put the postcrete in, checked level again then added the water. Leave it 24 hours and then put the pole together and fit in the tube. Job done!
Tip: when you have the flag up put a peice of wood between the rope and the pole to stop it rattling. It also stops the rope wearing the pole. I us a broom head.
