Nice kit of an uncommon subject
amazing detail, high-quality plastic,, great fit and finish... my only complaint is the instructions, which although they included awesome full-color illustrations for ainting and reference, still were a little vague in some of the assembly sequence info...

Good stuff cheap! Just be careful with quantities...
2 of 2 found this helpful Was reluctant to try this resin, but the good reviews helped me decide. It is indeed good stuff at a good price. I do have a couple of comments though, that I think are worth sharing:
1. Equal-portion 2-part resins like this are extremely convenient, especially when doing small batches. For example, I was able to mix up a half-ounce of resin for a couple of very small parts - no trouble*. This would be difficult if not impossible using resins requiring 10-to-1 ratios, or mixing by weight. (*See next item for the "no trouble" part!)
2. When they say "equal portions", they mean it! Although it is simple to use, it is still extremely necessary to measure out equal portions of each component. Don't rush and assume that an estimated amount will work - it will not! I have ruined 2 batches of this stuff by not being careful when measuring, but freely admit it is my own fault for rushing. I don't remember which way the mix goes, but one batch was too brittle, and the other never fully cured, staying soft and pliable (and sticky, so no, it's not a good way to get flexible parts!). Having said that, I've also made a bunch of other small batches, being careful with my measurements, and the stuff comes out perfect! This resin works fast, so careful and efficient mixing is required. When you do mix it right, the resulting resin is only slightly off-white in color, hard but easily workable with tools appropriate for plastic models, and extremely dense and detailed. I had been using Micro-Mark's CR-600 resin. This stuff is much faster to cure, but aside from the color, seems to be very similar in hardness and finish. I look forward to trying this company's other products.
