Amazing Film!
I saw this film at a college viewing, and fell in love with it. The author, Nina Paley, had to fight copyrighting suits for her music she chose to put but I think it was worth it. Nina uses her own breakup story along with the ancient love story of Rama and Sita, along with several different kinds of animation, to captivate audiences. Annette Hanshaw is the singing voice in this film, which has been dubbed "The Greatest Break-Up Story Ever Told".

Wonderful information about fibers and spinning
1 of 1 found this helpful The author lists every kind of fiber you can think of and how to spin it. She uses illustrations (because the book is from the 1980s) and walks you through what to do depending on what kind of wheel or spindle you're using. I was looking for a book that explained the parts on a spinning wheel and what they do, and this book did that perfectly. She also gives insight into buying a used wheel, and what to look for when inspecting it. Highly recommended!

New Lion King.
This is the classic Lion King movie, following the growing up of a Lion cub apart from the pride in order to overcome a "dictator" uncle lion. Disney had it right with the original movie: these new songs on this movie are not like the original ones, and throw me off the movie (not to mention they're annoying). Go for the VHS copy if you want the good one, and possibly record it onto a DVD if you don't have a VCR.
