The item was very well packed and protected.The lens was a little stiff to focus as described but I was able to loosen it up and it works fine now.

Handy but loose

This is the second lens hood I'm buying from this supplier, the previous one came off when my camera was inside my coat and it came off when I was walking on a street(not hiking). So this one I will use some electrical tape to secure it because it does not lock on very tightly as I'm sure the Nikon one would. Other than that it is a good product and it works well to keep the sun off the lens and yet still supports the existing lens cap.
