My first hub

Covid19 means I have to stay home full time with my work laptop. Needed something that would work with Surface Book 1 and didn't want to pay top dollar for the proprietary hub. (Some products never go on sale.) There are many third party hubs that would work for me but might require product downloads not supported by security conscious IT - remember this is my work machine. A pal with the same machine said this product worked for him. Good enough for me and it did work with the laptop. Dell has a list of machine purported to work with the hub. There was no reason for my ASUS desktop to be amongst these machines. Unfortunate, but the hub did not work well with the desktop. I had to plug in the primary hdmi cable to the ASUS and then all was well. Updating software and firmware did not remedy this minor issue that I can live with. There was no reason for Dell to design a product to work with third party hardware. I'm glad to be getting some mileage out of this product. Hubs seem to be scarce and expensive during the pandemic. It was good I fund something used, tested and affordable.
