Ordered Two and None of Them Are Working Out of Box

I bought some of 5050SMD LED strips for fun and I wanted to light them up via USB port. I bought one USB step up module, 5v to 12 one from Amazon and it was like $8 each - besides the overprice, it worked well. I shouldn't have went for cheap crappy ebay product to save money. It just can't turn my led up at all.
