Pentax Optio W90 Digital Camera
First things first! For me, this camers looks great in Orange, ok in green and too ordinary in black for an 'action' camera! I have the black one!!
We bought it to use on our boat which we use on the sea off the south coast.
It's a good little camers, has a good selection of features & adjustments but of course you can set it do everything for you and just point and shoot.
The microscope function is fun and could be very useful.
The 'Green' button is a good feature, it shortcuts to any one of 4 functions that you decide you want, eg white balance, exposure compensation, file size and quality.
It's fairly simple to use for a beginner or a more experienced photographer and so far has produced nice images. Like all cameras the more you use it the easier it gets to produce the image you want.
The HD video function works well but really deteriates when zoomed in. The zoom function works whilst videoing which is nice.
We've soaked it in salt water while out on a boat and just rinsed it off under fresh water when we got home, no ill effects from that as you would expect.
We haven't tried it underwater yet, that will come later.
Down sides - I'd like to see a lens cover of some kind, the battery life is not brilliant, it dosen't handle shooting into the sun as well as some other cameras we own, it's not so great for 'creative' shots but to be fair that's not what this camera is about.
Generally, we are pleased with this camera. As a tough, point and shoot digital camera that will take a few knock, is waterproof, does good video it OK!

Good well thought out guitar tuner.
This tuner appears to be a decent quality item. The most important thin, of course is it works! Follow the colour indicator to the correct colour and your guitar is in tune.
A neat touch is because of the ball joints, the tuner can be mounted on the back side of the headstock, out of view of an audience but still fully visible to the user.
The other point is. It's simple. Turn it on, tune up, turn it off. Great little unit. Slightly more expensive but in my opinion, worth it.

Not current enough.
In its day this was a good booklet with some useful info. The trouble is that things have moved on A LOT. Most boaters now use chartplotters linked to auto pilots, radar is common now too. These items are hardly mentioned in this book as they were only just coming on the market when the book was printed. If I ever get another book like this it will have to be 2015 onwards. I'll give this one to a charity shop.
