Disappointed

Great quality, no plastic or nylon parts to break, all metal pieces, and that’s nice. It comes in a compact plastic box that snaps closed securely so it is great to work out of without parts spread out all over the place and it is easy to store - BUT the cleaning rod does not rotate in the handle and that is a HUGE shortcoming. Can’t recommend this kit.

KYB Made in China. Disappointing

Big disappointment here. I purchased KYB because of their great quality. Or so I thought. When I receive them I was very disappointed that the dampers are made in China. It's a safe bet to think that the springs are also Chinese. I put a micrometer on the new springs and the old springs and not surprisingly, the new springs are thinner. I did not measure the actual piston rods but I can give a good guess as to the results. Another disappointment. The plastic dust guards are made in USA. To ship them back and exchange them for Munro's or some other brand was not economically feasible so I installed them and of course the car rides so much smoother. This is in no small part because the old units had 90K miles on them and one had leaked out. So it's fair to say that anything would have been an improvement. Time will tell how long they last but make no mistake about it KYB's are now made in China. Big disappointment. Two stars only because they installed easily and they have functioned properly for a week.
