Love this holster.
When I read the reviews on this holster it seemed like the perfect fit for me. I live in a densely wooded area of Northern California along side a river. We have an organic farm with livestock (alpacas, chickens, and ducks). We also have mountain lions in the area due to the neighbors feeding the deer and foxes. I felt I needed something with a little more immediate access to my Glock 23 than an IWB holster. Given the time of year it is, bulky clothing can slow draw times significantly.
The BLACKHAWK Tactical 430600BK-R Lvl 3 Holster fits the bill perfectly for me. Love the additional thumb lever release for the hold. Also the finger release on the side of this holster indexes your trigger finger perfectly on the Glock side notch after the draw. Well though out design in my opinion. This holster is light weight and stays in place on your leg once you get it adjusted for your personal needs. It keeps my weapon exactly where I will need it if those mountain lions come looking for my animals. After a little practice in the backyard range, the reach and draw will be second nature.
The only thing negatively I have to say about it is to echo the other reviews with regards to the clips being tight to latch on the belt loops. As mentioned in another review, some very light scrapping of the inside of the offending loop and you are good to go. I would, and will, recommend this holster to those who are looking for such an accessory. I can not speak as to the other model firearm versions of this product, however, I am very pleased with the purchase.
