Not for those with a short attention span
The AI is first class, it is better than another physical opponent, a bit like a chessmaster program.
No two games are the same, the fortunes of the card falls go spectacularly with you and at times against you, unpredictable and unexpected, entertaining. Yet this game gives you a lot of scope to plan, strategize, make mistakes and recover.
I recommend it to all board game wargamers.

Ultimate Solo Wargaming for the Table top
The ultimate in solo wargaming for the table top along with other great John Butterfield designs such as D Day at Omaha beach, Ambush and RAF Battle of Britain.
Realistic, tense and a great challenge to defeat the artificial intelligent. Great pains have been taken to make this as close to the reality of the events as is possible whilst still maintaining the feel of an entertaining game.
If Chess on steroids is your thing then this game and others like it are essential play and ownership.

Drakes Drum musings
For such an old game, this is a classic solitaire, card driven, not easy to beat the AI game and I would recommend it to anyone interested in states of siege typ games. Not easy to get a copy, but worth it when you do.
