Sennheiser Directear Set 250 Wireless Infrared Listening System for TV Sound

I expected better from Sennheiser

I have other wireless Sennheiser products and they are top quality. I wanted these so I could listen to music while exercising. The wireless headphones are too big and heavy. I knew the sound quality would not be great but these don't even get sound unless you are directly in front of the transmitter. With the other head phones I have I can walk all over my house.

Quality product

I bought these to replace a pair of RS170 that I have worn for 8 hours a day for over three years. I even exercise in them and they tend to fall of my ears often when I bend over. The old speakers had become very loose and the base was no longer charging them even when I got new batteries. These are working great and the sound is just a bit better than on my old speakers however while the RS170 was a closed system and therefore could not be heard by others, these are an open system and people can hear them. I am sure that in about three years I will need new ones again but I will enjoy them in the mean time. Since i wear them all day (neighbors don't like loud music), I walk all over my apartment in them. There is one spot at the far end with two walls between me an the receiver where they cut out but in general the sound is clear with excellent base. They sound as good as wired speakers.
