2 of 2 found this helpful For the price, it is what it is. I purchased two of these and two of its smaller versions to put into BOBs. Not my personal ones of course they have Gerber Mark 1 and 2s.
Prepared get premium kit.
Unprepared get useable affordable kit.
I’ve carried it in the field and on the job during where I was issued quality gear I was afraid I would lose or damage during training. First Shirts and Group Supervisor s can be unforgiving about lost or damaged gear during and I replaced it with similar type gear or kit.
For price it’s a good quality. Once honed and kept lightly coated with mineral oil, it’ll hold its sharpness sheathed for quite awhile. Like any other tool, check the condition after use.
For reliability, I’ve used it in the field and on the job and it has more than served it’s purpose from cutting flexicuffs, slicing rope and as a defensive weapon.
