You get what you pay for...
This was an inexpensive USB mini-mouse, but unfortunately it doesn't hold up very well. After only a couple of months, the right click isn't functioning, which is a hassle. Otherwise it is still performing it's other functions, but without the right click, I am forced to use the touchpad whenever I need to right click. In hindsight, I think it would be worth putting out a few more dollars to get a more heavy duty mini-mouse.

You get what you pay for...
I had purchased this AKG SR40 Mini unit to replace an old Line 6 X2 wireless system that died on me after many years. I am in a local cover band and wireless just makes playing so much more fun plus being free of cords is such a bonus. I didn't have much money but I missed the freedom. So I did a lot of research to try to squeeze a budget friendly option, and at $84 it was one of the most affordable. The videos on YouTube were positive, most of the user reviews were decent too, a forum post was positive, and AKG is a decent brand, so I gave it a shot. It was supposed to be able to go 100 ft without signal loss, one guy in a video went on different floors of a house, it has great features like volume controls on both sides, 30 hours on a battery, which is awesome. For an inexpensive unit, it really was touted. The only problem was when I tried to use it, there was massive white noise whenever I turned my body. It didn't matter if I was 3 feet or 15 feet, the issue was there and constant. Plus, indoor or out, I couldn't get consistent signal more than 25 feet away, as the signal dropped out and disappeared. Tone loss was noticeable throughout- it didn't matter if I used my expensive active Music Man bass, a passive bass or a Strat- it ranged from scraggly/noisy to no bottom end. I called AKG for customer support and had an excellent experience there- they were responsive to my concerns. Can't complain there. It was diagnosed that I live in an area with a lot of RF interference. I live right outside a city in the northeast USA, so apparently there are a lot of people, stations and others using the bandwidth. He felt that was the issue, which I do believe. Since there is only one channel, there wasn't another option to find a clear transmitting signal. I figure if you are in a more rural situation, you may get better performance than I experienced, but that is only a supposition. So the bottom line was I got the refund and had to pony up another $80 to get a new Line 6- which does rock! You try to cut corners, but you do get what you pay for.
