Receiver easily meets my needs.
1 of 1 found this helpful Reviews of receivers are largely subjective. I happen to prefer the clean crisp sound of this Yamaha receiver. My speaker setup consists of 4 pair of the original Large Advents. I use two of the Yamaha RX-A700 receivers so that each of the speakers has a separate channel of amplification (in bi-amp mode). These receivers easily meet my listening requirements. I do not need wall-shaking volume so there is plenty of very clean power for my listening taste, I find that having a separate 7" monitor on each receiver makes it much easier to adjust the receivers' parameters when necessary. I gave a 4 star rating because this receiver does not travel well. Two previous A700s I bought were damaged in shipment. Even this receiver had a small circuit board which contains the on/off switch break off of its mounts. I decided to repair the damage myself with a little epoxy. If anyone else is looking for this model I recommend trying to avoid shipping.

Perfect replacement
I thought I would have to buy a whole new fan/light unit. This remote works perfectly and saved me a lot of money..
