Edelbrock 41443 Classic Series Valve Cover Set, Small Block Chevy

Edelbrock has changed their machining process which may make installation difficult.

Earlier examples of this design that can be found on eBay, feature machined reliefs that allow them to be used with aftermarket intake manifolds. These new Valve covers do not have those machined reliefs and in my experience, they interfered with my Edelbrock Performer intake runners. The interfence was minimal, but I would have had to mill or file the lip in order to provide clearance necessary for my gaskets to seal and installation of my valve cover fasteners. In the end, I reinstalled my older, less expensive Edelbrock Elite II valve covers which feature the milled lip from the factory. I am disappointed in Edelbrock for eliminating this feature from a more expensive product. I do not believe that the consumer should have to modify a high end product to make it work.
