An early Lindberg Kit, Good, but not the most accurate.
It's a decent sized kit, though because of it's age it has a lot of inaccuracies. As an experienced modeller I can correct this enough to make it acceptable. For someone just starting out in the modelling game, It's an easy build for a first kit, for comparatively little money.
It's typical Lindberg who, back in the day, took all their design drawings from prototype aircraft rather than production ones. As a result many of the kits had a lot of differences from the real service aircraft. That said there aren't many Grumman Tigers on the market which makes it something of a rarity.

Nicely detailed model of a lesser known WW2 transport aircraft.
Although I haven't built my one yet, I am very impressed with the amount of detail in the kit. All the parts look well molded and there is very little flash. It is somewhat more complex than most mainstream injection molded kits but this is a limited edition kit and the extra work is reflected in the higher price that these models command. It is NOT one for an inexperienced modeller and is DEFINITELY NOT a toy. as by their very nature this are display models only and not to be played with. All in all a welcome addition to my collection of 1930s and WW2 Handley Page Aircraft. Highly recommended .

Something different
1 of 1 found this helpful Easy to assemble although some instructions are a bit vague. It goes together well though and you finish up with a good looking model. NOTE: The axles are two different lengths with the longer one going on the front wheels. Make sure you get it right otherwise the wheels are a sod to get off again! (I speak from experience having got them mixed up on mine!) Once on the axles you need to adjust them so that they fit correctly .Well worth getting.
