Though the square puzzle box was swathed in mini bubble wrap with tissue paper to fill in the gaps of the rectangular shipping box ,the box was literally falling apart.Considering how uncareful the postal people are, a stiffer, more substantial box would have been advisable, but we got lucky this time (if the box was damaged I would have sent it back)

A Great Combo of Dance Styles Keeps you Motivated!
I love this idea - giving me the choice to do a different style of dance each day - or mix up two routines for a longer workout. Lisa's form and cueing is terrific; great moves, she's such a pro. You can access the instructional section to break down the moves. The fact that she doesn't spend a lot of the workout explaining the movements makes them stay challenging and fresh. My only complaint with her workouts in general is her warm ups and cooldowns seem to be always made up of the same few movements - by themselves, they are fine, but having done many of Lisa's workout dvd's, I'd like something different for a warmup/cooldown for a change. This is not a complaint, but I've noticed that the music & vocal tracks on Lisa's dvd's are sometimes on separate speaker sides, so if you don't have both speakers hooked up, you may get frustrated thinking there's something wrong with the disc (took me a while to figure this out!). If you like to dance and like variety, I highly recommend this!

Great All Around Workout - Need Roller for All Sections
I only gave this a "good" rating, because the foam roller is not offered with the dvd, but is used in all 5 workouts offered. Once I had a roller, I really enjoyed the entire dvd. Karen is in top form, as usual, and always has interesting and dynamic choreography. Her mat work is innovative as well - not the same old stuff! I would call the workout beginner - intermediate, because I didn't feel super challenged, but if you do the 50 min. workout, or 2 or 3 of the 20 minute workouts, you'll still know you've had your well rounded, full body exercise for the day. It would be nice if the foam roller weren't used quite so much, or if one of her exercisers showed modifications without it; that way, people without access to a roller could do the moves anyway. Or if some of the matwork felt awkward with the roller (as I've read in some reviews), there would be a way to modify without it. Try to get you hands on the companion dvd set, "Sleek Essentials", which comes with the roller - or you can just order the roller off her website. Karen Voight is still one of the best, and I DO recommend this dvd!!!

Decent, Light Day Workout - Nice Instructor!
I'm one of those who like ALL the Firm workouts, even the new ones. The newer ones may not wipe us out like the classics, but they are still much better than most other workouts on the market in terms of quality, form, balance, variety, etc. It is true the newer workouts seem to cater to a more beginner exerciser, but I think more advanced exercisers can still benefit, using heavier weights or combining the workouts on light exercise days. Emily W. has an engaging personality, and seems like a real person, which is very motivating. I like her emphasis on working the muscles in a different way, and adding a good variety of movement to keep the workout interesting. Veteran "Firmies" already have heavy and light weights to choose from, so they can make the moves harder, and those new to weight work can use the dumbells the Firm sells or buy a light set. I will be using this on my light exercise days. I think this workout was also sold as "Total Body Lite", in case you're searching for it.
