Donald Burgett's Seven Roads to Hell.
I have read all four of Donald Burgett's books of his WW2 experiences as a member of the famed 101st Elite Airbourne Division known to history as the "Screaming Eagles". Donald served with Co. A of the 506th PIR You can follow along with the men of the 101st, as Donald takes you on a journey through the Battle of the Bulge. He will introduce you to the brave men who fought against the Elite Axis forces, while being surrounded in Bastogne, a critical and strategic point which intersected seven vital roads, needed in order to move the Nazi war machine through Belgium. Exciting and vivid details, a must read for all who love studing about World War 2.

Battles and Leaders Volumes 1 through 4

A must for those who want to know what the leaders involved in the campaigns were thinking at the time of the ensuing battles. Note that these are the individuals own points of view. Battles and Leaders is the source where many authors of Civil War books go to get their information. I have read many books written about the Civil War and this is one the most quoted, time and time again it refers to Battles and Leaders. If you want to learn much about the Civil War, then this is a source that you wouldn't want to be leave out. Also, you really need to buy all four volumes.
