Stunning photography
Incredibly moving and beautiful,yet melancholy photographs of the decline of US industry. I had seen this book in the library and wanted to get a copy of my own. An irony that a book documenting the demise of US manufacturing was printed in China.

Brought back the memory of the sinking of the Fitzgerald, had a profound affect when I was younger. Beautifully illustrated, well written and poetic, gave one the sense of being there. Put faces to the lost crew. Lots of memories of watching the boats on the Great Lakes.
