I recommend
If you're thinking of knitting with two colors, this is a good book to get you started. This is also the book that introduced float catching to the knitting world. Good color ideas, too. Some of these patterns will never go out of style, but all are wonderful for design and color ideas. The story of the farm makes for great reading, too.

Pretty but heavy
I bought these to use everyday, taking the place of my regular Wedgwood everyday china, because they're microwave and dishwasher safe. They're very thick and heavy, but also pretty. I like that I can mix and match the Lenox French Perle line of dinnerware and that there are serving pieces to go with them.
