NEW Kenwood DDX376BT 6.2" Touch Screen, 2-DIN, CD/DVD w/ Bluetooth

Awesome value, awesome sound!

I installed this in my 2003 Xterra about a week a ago and so far am very pleased with it. I am absolutely loving the volume knob. This unit is replacing an ancient Pioneer AVH-P800BH. So far the sound quality even without the EQ and time alignment engaged is much improved. I am still running the same external 4 channel amplifier. (miss the removable screen from Pioneer though) Kenwood unit is easy to use, and setup. It pairs automatically and reliably to my iPhone 12 after first initial setup. Bluetooth audio quality is actually acceptable. Cd playback and lossless files played with a richer sound, although I have only used a small 1gb flash drive, so I cannot comment on access times on larger drives. Seems to image way better than Pioneer even without T/A. Screen is a little dim, but does allow some adjustment in the sub menus. I have found it livable, but I mostly select a playlist and just relax and drive. If you fiddle with your radio a lot or even use it to look at movies while parked, I could see it being a major pain. Still giving a 5 star, because the sound is just that sweet! Great decals saved the day!

Decals went on with ease. I used a very small amount of vinegar in the water to help with the application. There is an abundance of choices for the different versions of this plane. The edges seems to be staying down nicely. I always blot the decals carefully with tissue and cotton swabs to absorb out extra water. Just a note: The model shown is not the kit the decals were designed for. But the scales were very similar. The original decals for the pictured plane were not co-operating and kept splitting up and breaking apart. Was happy to find something to save the project. This pictured model is a vintage MRC foam airplane. Hope to be able to give it its maiden voyage soon.

Surround a little small, but pretty good fit otherwise

The Realistic Minimus 77 speakers i was enjoying desperately needed new foam surrounds. I was happy to find these, as the selection of foam surrounds that specifically mentioned these speakers was very limited. ( i could find none actually) The good news: Installation of this surround was not much different than any others I have done before and worked well when completed. Sound was improved in my case, as the old surrounds were crumbling. The bad news: Diameter of the rolled part of the surround was noticeably smaller than the old surround. Outer diameter was also a little short, but I was able to make it work. Inside diameter that attaches to the cone was spot on. Seller indicates the actual dimensions so I should have known. Some will argue that the reduced size of the "rolled" part will effect sound. i did not notice any change in sound, but I am however using mine with a small subwoofer. You will need your own glue. I had some left over from a past purchase. It was not labeled other than "contains synthetic co-polymer". Use in well ventilated area, avoid skin contact, eye contact. etc. Use goggles and gloves to be safe. Good luck, I'm happy with the purchase overall. Glad to have my speakers fixed up and sounding great!
