Cheap and easy
So far, it's easy to operate and is reliable, but I've only had it about two weeks. Time setting and operation is accurate and is simple. You don't need those little pins that come out and get lost.

Super!
First of all, it uses 900 MHz band RF. Most of them use 2.4 GHz. Why this is important is that the 900 MHz signal is better able to permeate walls and other typical building structures. Another big plus is that the batteries are accessible and are standard AAAs. My wife goes about 5 days using them when she works around the house without worrying about batteries, and just replaces them with standard lithiums and she's good to go for another 5 days.
