Frankenstein chair
26 of 26 found this helpful I've sat in a Leap for many years at my office, and I can say this chair is a Frankenstein. Many parts were not OEM Steelcase and low quality. The pneumatic, arm pads, seat fabric/padding, base and casters were non-Steelcase low quality. The Steelcase mechanism and chair frame had significant wear and damage. For example, the height adjustment lever was repaired using tape, back slope adjuster was jammed and sticky, and the cap on the dial for the seat tension was broken off. The seller tried to blame everything on the shipper, but I was not convinced. Once I save enough cash, I'll be buying a real Steelcase chair - this one simply does not cut it.
