Guess the old adage is correct, "you can't please all of the people all of the time".

More like a toy lock!
Zero stars would be more appropriate but then again what can expected of a $4 ignition switch lol
The thing is rinky dinky and is appears to be mostly made of plastic.
Might be useful to guard a child's toy chest at best!

Very Nice, Solid Product
Had the Charles Leonard Aluminum chalk holder previously (from Office Depot) and you really had to tighten it down well to prevent the chalk from slipping. I scratched my board pretty bad until I realized it was slipping.
No problem with the KOH-I-NOOR. No manual tightening needed and it just simply won't slip no matter how hard I press on the board with the chalk. Has a nice solid weight to it and good-sized diameter. Well built, definitely recommend.

Sweet little functional unit that can save your life!
If you're looking for a no frills, save me when I need it unit, with zero monthly subscription fees, then this is the way to go.
The product is small, sturdy, and fairly light coming in at only a handful of ounces.
Outdoor Gear Labs has an excellent review on personal locator beacons and a spreadsheet detailing the monthly/yearly subscription costs of various popular units.
Some subscriptions cost between $10-15/month coming in at a cool $120-220/year if you leave it active for the entire year. This easily approaches the cost of the units themselves in just a couple short years!
