200g Dian hong maofeng organic tea large congou black tea premium red

Excellent daily morning cup!

I bought the first order of this tea as an inexpensive stopgap while awaiting an order of a “premium” Tian Hong, from a different source... I was amazed at how fresh this tea was- the aroma, dry in the bag, was pungent and fruity... I found the flavor a little lacking until I started brewing “Congou” style then the flavors really emerged! I would characterize the flavor profile as darker and more earthy than one would expect from most Yunnan Reds but still very enjoyable with sweet berry undertones and almost no astringency even brewed strong. I have tasted some better Tian Hong’s but I gave this tea five stars for the simple reason quality/price = great value... (BTW I’m on my third order in three months!)
