Beautiful movie!
This movie changed my life, or at least my world-view. I first saw it in a theater as a youngster, college age, coming out of my teens--the years of "knowing everything." I wore my newfound cynicism rather proudly, and then I saw this movie. Wow. It immediately impressed upon me what a gift it is to be alive, even to feel pain because it is part of LIVING. It has been decades since I was a college kiddo, and, yes, life is often challenging, even overwhelming. All of us who have suffered and lost loved ones during this Pandemic know that life is often almost too much. I watched this movie recently, after years of trying to find a decent copy, and it still just made me feel empowered by life, rather than run over by life. There are so many moments of beauty and rich philosophy, and they are presented in a way that doesn't feel like a sermon. Wonderful movie!
