Practice makes perfect.
I have two sets of Rockler templates - 3 1/2 inch and 1 1/2 inch. I have had a difficult time matching the bush guide on my Trend and old Elu routers. Perseverance brings success. The larger letters have been awkward to fit together, but use makes this easier. The smaller letters work well from the start. Although I have used routers for forty years, I did have to get used to the technique and used a lot of soft wood initially to practise on. I have progressed to hardwoods such as oak with success and satisfaction.

Very impressive
Installed in the window of a Northumbrian farmhouse where a real Barn owl resides in the barn. Look for Chartners Farm on Facebook. A very impressive and lifelike metal sculpture.
