Development of Characters
For a film to appeal to me, it has to be about the development of the characters in the story and their interaction with one another. I am usually put off films like this because the centre of attention goes to, in this sort of case, the Vampire and what the Vampire gets up to, with everyone else fitting in around that theme.
With this film, however, it is about the forming of the unusual friendship between Oscar and Eli, especially considering Oscar's vulnerable nature (falling victim to the bullies at school and not really having any friends). The fact that one of these two is a Vampire gives the story its theme, but it is the developing friendship that seems to be the stronger theme. Don't be put off by this opinion; there is still plenty of blood and other unsavoury things to watch! It is probably the friendship that prevents Oscar becoming one of Eli's victims; look for the expression on Eli's face when Oscar lets her borrow his Rubiks Cube - somewhat deflated? All the traditional folklore traits are included; the effect Vampires have on cats, the effect sunlight has on Vampires, how survivors of an attack become affected, and so on.
Many people have suggested that the penultimate scene at the Swimming Pool is their favourite, and the film could have ended there; but the scene that follows suggests that the story could have continued (perhaps into another film), and the viewer is left guessing where they're going!

Most sensible pad I've found
The Chartwell series of pads, not just this one, are clearly superior to other pads by virtue of the grids being printed in a light turqoise ink; meaning that if you need to photocopy your work afterwards the grid lines don't appear on the copy. For some people or projects this may not be ideal and there are plenty of other brands, but this is the main quality that sells these pads to me. The paper quality is also good, and the sheets are easily removed without tearing when needed to.

Does the job, perfectly
I was too frightened to look up the cost for this item from a main dealer, and when a friend suggested looking on eBay, I found this. And there is nothing bad to say about it. It fits perfectly, and the bulb-fitting fits inside it properly. Recommended!
