4x Bio Sponge Filter Betta Fry Aquarium Fish Tank Double Sponge (S) XY-2831
    Oct 10, 2018
    Inexpensive and a great value!
Sponge filters are a great alternative to traditional hang on back (HOB) filters. They require no a/c power, just air flow from a pump. They're a must in fry tanks, no matter if you're breeding fish or shrimp. In my case, I use them in all of my tanks up to 10 gallons in size. And, these filters are priced at a fraction of what HOB filters cost, are a snap to clean and are much less likely to fail. These sponge filters in particular are of very nice quality. The filter elements are basic, just like every other filter on the market. What sets these a part from the rest are two things. First, they have a air line holder near the top of the air outlet, which keeps hoses where they belong. Second, these have two suction cups as opposed to one, which most other filters have. These will be much more secure in the tank and much less likely to float after a filter cleaning For the price and features of these sponge filters, I can't imagine why you'd look anywhere else. Very satisfied customer here.

Perfect vehicle for father/son bonding time! Great RC for the price!
After doing a ton of research, I pulled the trigger and ordered the Redcat Earthquake 3.5. My initial impression was that this RC is well made and impressive in size. Setup and break in were pretty straight forward following the videos on the Redcat site. This thing screams when it's broken in and the carb is well adjusted, which takes some tuning. My son runs a Traxxas electric vehicle and the Earthquake runs circles around it. I have found it to be as reliable as our Traxxas RC and equally well built. Obviously, the harder you bash it, the more frequently parts will break...that holds true no matter what brand you own. Parts for the Redcats are easily accessible and very inexpensive. My goal in buying the Earthquake was to have something that my son and I could to together. He runs the Traxxas and I run the Redcat, and we have a blast the whole time we're out together. The bottom line: with proper maintenance and a little care, the Redcat Earthquake 3.5 is a killer machine!

    Bronco Gas Shock AU-04420

A cheap price does not equal a good value.
After reading some good reviews on the Bronco shocks, I bit the bullet and ordered a pair. Installation was easy due to the springs already being mounted, which is one plus of these shocks. A 40-50 mile test ride went well and the shocks were initially very impressive and much better than stock. After not riding my ATV for about three months, a group made our way for a week long riding trip to Colorado. The first day of the trip seemed to go well. However, the next morning, I noticed grease/oil flung all over the back of my machine. We first assumed it was a CV boot splitting, but upon further inspection, we found that both shocks had leaking seals and were basically a spring and a rod. Essentially, the rest of the trip was miserable as there was little to no suspension/dampening ability left. With less than 100 miles, the Bronco shocks were junk. I was hoping these would be a good solution, but was left with a bad taste in my mouth and will be ordering a set of Elka's for the rear and hope that the fronts last longer than the rears.
