SONY DCR-TRV730 Digital8 Camcorder. Plays Hi8 and Video8 Tapes, 60 DAY WARRANTY!

Works with Digital 8 and Hi8 formats, but Video8 (analog) format is very grainy and unplayable

Got this to playback my digital8, hi8, and video8 tapes. Read the manual before I bought so I know what to expect. Previously, I got a hitachi handycam but that could not play any of those, so I guess Sony is the way to go. Pros: - Well packaged, and as described Cons: - The switch for toggling between record and playback mode is somewhat loose, so sometimes during playback the unit turns off - Video8 tape is not playing back properly
