Just like the standard controller, but different. A more substantial feeling controller.
4 of 4 found this helpful If you are flying an H502S or a H501S, this controller will work much like the standard controller. What you get is external antenna connections (which may, or may not give you more range than a standard controller), better quality gimbals (joysticks). The shafts for the joysticks are a standard "M3" (3mm with 0.5mm pitch) metal shafts, which have optional joystick covers you can put on the shaft (I combined a Red and Blue kit, see pictures). Switches and buttons to enable features like "follow me", without having to push straight down on the joystick to enable features. The metal toggle switches have a positive click and fee solid. The center lug (for attaching a lanyard) feels well attached to the case. The body of the transmitter has a more substantial feel to it versus the standard controller, and it supports an 11.1 volt 3S LiPo battery (purchased separately) for longer run-times. The LCD display is actually smaller than the standard display, but it is a small difference. The 2.4 Ghz antenna is a RP-SMA (reverse, no center pin) connector. The 5.8Ghz antenna is a classical SMA connector. The T1 and T2 rotary knobs do nothing on the H501S/H502S, they are for camera gimbal aiming on the H109S drone. The one purchased in late December of 2017 was still running V1.1.13 code, as versus the more current v1.1.16 update. My original controller, a standard H901A, was giving me a bit over 1000 meters of range before the video got fuzzy. This transmitter, the advance H906A gave me about 800 meters. I swapped out the 5.8Ghz antenna, which came with transmitter with another I had on hand and it gave me 1100 meters of range. It is worth noting the Photo and Video buttons are not labelled as such, they are the EXIT and ENTER buttons on the controller. The Headless mode is enabled with the "A" switch. The "B" switch enables the Follow Me function. The Circle function is via the DOWN button. Overall, a very solid feeling controller, which is a step up from the Standard Controller (toy grade) to the Advance Controller (hobby grade). Pictures: 1. versions, 2. Controller with upgraded sticks, 3. Battery compartment with optional upgraded LiPo battery (purchase separately).

This battery actually fits the Holy Stone HS170C like a glove!!
I had purchased another vendor's 600ma battery, which promised to fit in the Holy Stone HS170 drone; they didn't, they were much too large. The Keenstone 500mAH batteries area perfect fit, with no wiggling or sliding around mid-flight. They are slightly longer than the stock 380 mAH battery, so the center if gravity is shifted slightly back; this may require you trim the drone a couple clicks forward for a motionless hover. Earlier version of this battery had shrink-wrap where the wires meet the connector, but current version do not have this. The stock Holy Stone 380mAH battery weighs in at 12.3 Grams. The Keenstone batteries weigh in at a bit over 12.9 grams; I would take that 500mAh rating with a grain of salt. It is unlikely a 0.6 gram of weight difference actually gives an additional 120mAh over the stock battery. (the 600mAh batteries weigh 5 grams more than the stock battery) Run time does appear to be a bit longer, but not drastically so. These batteries measure as 42mm long, 20mm wide, and 8.5 to 9mm thick (tapers slightly). The factory battery measures 41.5mm long, 20.3mm wide, and 8 to 8.2mm thick. Be sure to give a little cool-down time for your motors between battery swaps, otherwise you increase the odds of motor failure. I am very happy with the product. It is great to not have a 40 minute wait between each flight (I had one battery originally, so it was a few minutes of flying, and 40 minutes of charging).
The charger which comes with it gets the job done, with the common newbie mistake being the battery connector has to be slid in DEEPLY into the charger to make solid contact. The charger seems to recharge the batteries more quickly when you use a USB wall-power adapter, than the computer's USB port. When my Hubsan 107D arrives, I will likely buy a second set of these batteries (unless the 600mAh batteries fit it). The picture shows the stock 380mAh battery on the bottom, and the Keenstone 500mAh battery on top for a size comparison.

Rock solid Vintage Gem of high quality and accuracy.
This vintage Brown and Sharpe combination square was produced back when the company had exceptional attention to detail. It is not to be confused with the model that has a Dash 1 (-1) in it's product name (recent manufacture). The engraved steel rule is exactly 1 inch across, and is accurate dimensionally to 1/10,000 of an inch. The parts all move smoothly and without excessive drag along the entire length of it. If you can find one of these in good shape (not scratched or pitted due to age), it is an outstanding find, and much better than those of more recent production. This product would compare equally with the Starrett product of similar design.
