HP Officejet J6480 All-In-One is a Winner
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought it to replace my 11 year old printer that was starting to act its age. I wanted wireless connectivity, nice, smooth photo prints, a flat bed scanner, and with a feed-through copier/scanner/fax and two sided print capability. Wow! The HP Officejet has it all at a great value. Everything works great with it. The print cartridges are a bit on the small side, but the print quality is beautiful, cartridge mileage is quite good, and they don't cost you an arm and a leg when it comes time to stock up. We've only had one minor carriage hang-up that I easily cleared by powering down and then manually moving the carriage to the other end and back. I down-loaded and flashed an available firmware update easily on the printer, and the PC software package is top-notch. My wife's computer has had absolutely no problems running it all on the 32 bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium . Mine, running the 64-bit version had a little hickup with installation of the HP Product Assistant that made it keep trying repeatedly to finish installing futilly because it sees itself having exclusive access to a certain library file. I simply disabled the two Windows start-up keys in msconfig for the two HP processes that were driving the install completion attempts. I havn't missed them yet - printing, scanning, and photo transfers all work just fine. I figure a corrective update will come out before too long, as more is learned about interactions with the 64-bit WVHP OS. Over-all - The printer and software bundle is still an excellent value. I'm a happy HP customer.

Excellent Product
