Series X-actly what I needed
15 of 17 found this helpful The series S console has had a lot of bad press from gamers across the board, but when it fits into your life this well, this is a bargain for what you get here.
I’m not one for chasing the high-end TV train. I’ve had the same 1080p 60hz TV for years and years and didn’t want to change it when it still works as well as it did when I bought it. The series S impresses with its high frame rates, backwards compatibility and blazingly fast loading times.
Yeah, we don’t have many exclusives yet (The Medium is pretty good though if you like Silent Hill games) - but what we do have is a massive back catalogue of Xbox games from three generations, and Microsofts surprising commitment to great gaming experiences and a consumer friendly approach. I never owned an Xbox before, so I’m loving by exploring all of the older games on game pass.
If you can get one, I can’t help but recommended it. Microsoft’s accessible approach to this generation is really a breath of fresh air, and even if it doesn’t sell as many units as Sony, it’s still a great investment for what it offers right now.
