Lots of energy in quite small package
1 of 1 found this helpful I have tested a few of them, charged up to 2.6V on the next day they will have around 2.5V, so it is quite a small self-discharge, when they are at around 2.2V they can keep the charge around that value for 2-3 days before dropping to 1.9. Good for powering tiny electronic components even for several hours.

Great servo
This servo allows you to quite precisely control Lego moving elements. It is generaly expensive compared to hobby servos, but the ability to combine it with Legos is worth the price. It has place for output shafts from both ends so you can easyly use it in rock crawler project for 4 wheels turning.

Good quality radio
2 of 2 found this helpful This radio module has great price to quality ratio. Indeed it can operate without MCU invovelemnt during single send/receive operation. In 2 and 1 Mbit setting the signal strength bit can be read, in case of 250kbs transmission speed the signal strength bit always read zero. When I placed one radio inside a house on a windowsill and placed the other inside a car, I was able to get reliable transmission for roughtly 200-300m at 2Mbit. Taking the radio from the car outside remarkably increased the signal, so as long as there are not too many obstacles it might be possible to get the 1km range on the lowest transmission speed. Communication with the module through SPI is straightforward, and awailable datasheet is complete, so there is no problem interfacing this device with various MCU's. I have tested it with Atmega 328P and MSP430G2553, in both configurations worked perfectly. All data pins accept 5V signal, which makes it easy to interface with 5V logic components like Arduino. It would be great if the antena had a bit higher gain so that higher range could be achieved at high tranmission speeds.
Receiving in Multi-ceiver mode allows to set the device for listening for packets from up to 5 different transmitters. Here one thing has to be noted that in case transmitters transmitt in the same momemnt, data will be lost (data colission).
