Worth Every Penny
This door lock is key to your central locking system and FOB signal. It is worth every penny to buy a new Genuine BMW actuator; just not from the dealership. The R&R is tricky and requires patience. Watch a couple YouTube videos, you can do it. My 330ci was made 8/24/2000 but is called a 2001 330ci. So...this part can be tricky. The one pictured is proper for a 2001 made before Sep 2000. However, in September they changed it slightly. So, if your 2001 was made in Sep 2000 or later, you need a slightly different actuator. They are identical (as far as I can tell) except the way they attach to the door handle. The later ones have a cable to connect. This one has an arm that connects straight into the handle itself.

Not shatter proof
If your wife doesn't know the wire gate isn't attached, she may pick it up by the gate. It will drop and shatter. Still looks cool. I hung it up anyway.

Great time and knuckle saver
Fits perfectly allowing strong forces without slipping. Able to pull out heavily rusted part without damage to the fork tube.
