Low power, tons of cores, runs cool
Not the fastest Xeon out there but it's a fantastic purchase for video content creators, rendering and video encoding. The megahertz may be low but 16 logical cores more than make up for it. Great temps with decent air cooling, extremely low power part. A great purchase with one caveat - some games are optimized for raw speed and ignore the multicore goodness. This is not the best purchase for all gaming scenarios.

A future collectible
This CPU, along with the the 1,2GHz (tualatin) model were remarkable chips. They were replaced quite quickly with the Pentium 4, therefore not produced in a huge volume (especially the 1.4GHz version). Plenty of performance and good thermals. I expect them to gain lots of value as time goes by, interested buyers should be (very) patient though - getting some profit out of them will be a possibility in a few years.

Great card for retro gaming builds
It's not the highest-end G4xx product from Matrox, but it is close enough. If you are building a retro gaming PC for Win98, this is an excellent choice as it has great value for money, lots of VRAM and very good performance - and it can be found really cheap. Unlike the G400 Max which is quite more rare and much more expensive (though a bit faster).
