If it's not broke don't fix it.

I installed three of these ten years ago during a remodel. Consumer Reports raves about this model and also recommends that you replace your smoke alarm(s) every ten years. So I did replace them with the same brand and model. The new detectors fit on the original mounting brackets so installation was a breeze. I am quite adamant about changing the battery annually on New Years Day. I test them on a regular basis and they have performed without incident for the past decade. Hence the review title, "If it's not broke don't fix it. If this model is still being produced in 2027 I will purchase three more.

Kasa always works well
