DODGE DAKOTA GAS FUEL LINE 1994-2003 #FL-FG0214
    Nov 17, 2023
Good quality. Worked, but required some modification.
I purchased this to replace the kinked fuel line on my 2000 Dodge Dakota. The tubing was of a smaller diamater than the tubing it replaces. While the quick connect end was smaller than OEM, it clicked in place just fine. The issue I had was with joining it with my metal fuel line. The metal part of the line is in good condition and did not need to be replaced. The nylon part was heat formed to the end of the two diameter metal line. When heated, the line slid over the narrow diameter easily enough, but I could not get it slide over the wider diameter that followed it. This was essential to getting a great tight fit that could handle 50psi. The nylon tube was simply too narrow. I ended up taking the included metal fitting, rubber fuel line and crimping clamps to join it all together. The nylon line was heated and pushed onto the metal fitting which had a nipple ring to grab the nylon. I clamped that and then used a rubber line and some gasket sealer to join the metal fitting and the gas line end-to-end. i then crimp clamped that. It works and holds pressure for now. Time will tell. I just wish the line was of larger diameter to allow me to replicate the original installation.
