Working as hoped for, possibly better
Purchased this igniter for a Harmon XXV, that after three years the igniter finally failed. Looking at various sites - including the sellers website, I decided this would be the best one to get. It was pretty and shiny like the picture showed. The lengths of thermal wire were sufficient to get back under the auger area. The only difficulty I had was the spade connector. The spades were twisted in their connectors - fine, easy fix with a twist of my needle nose pliers. Yet the actual plastic that fits over (or inside - can't remember now) the female connector was just so very tight. With little room to work with outside of the stove and being careful not to pull the wires too much, it wasn't too long before I finally got the connectors together. Reinstalled and tried it out. I feel as though it is definitely starting up the stove a little faster, but I don't have the previous speed to compare it to, so it is only a "feeling" of faster. Knowing that the igniters go out every two to four years, I have purchased a second one to store in the back of the stove for future use. I think it has been a good buy and if you are considering replacing your igniter, try this one.

How do you write a review for something you haven't used (needed to use) yet?
I bought this in conjunction with a heater element I purchased - so IF it goes out within a year, I can get a replacement. However, that has not happened in the few months that I have had the heater element installed. Other than the emails confirming the plan and what not, I haven't contacted them to see if they would make good on the product - if it was defective. So five stars right now. It did give me more piece of mind to purchase the one I did - so benefit there.
